April 2025 Upcoming Events, Celebrations, Happenings and Opportunities (ECHO)

Save the Dates for Upcoming CCTM Events: 

  • Register for the CCTM Summer Institute June 12 & 13, 2025, hosted at the Adams 12 Conference Center.  Join us in-person for keynote speakers Joleigh Honey and Julianne Foxworthy Gonzalez who will present strategies for supporting diverse learners in mathematics, including culturally and linguistically diverse students and students with disabilities.  Attendees will earn professional learning hours towards meeting the CLD and/or Special Education licensure requirements.  See the 2025 CCTM Summer Institute webpage to register.
  • Don’t forget to checkout upcoming CCTM emails with additional learning opportunities and resources from our partners.  Current CCTM members can also access recordings of past events on our website.
  • Take a look at the upcoming NCTM webinars this spring.  NCTM is hosting their annual conference in Denver in the fall of 2026!  Stay tuned.  Registration for the 2025 NCTM Annual Conference in Atlanta is now underway.  
  • Building off of last year’s success, NCTM and NCTE are hosting a second joint elementary math and literacy conference. The 2025 Joint Conference will be held in Chicago, June 16 - 18.  Participants will dive into teaching practices and strategies that foster connected learning across the English Language Arts and math domains. 
  • CDE partnered with TNTP to provide a no-cost professional development course covering high quality, evidence-informed math instructional practices. Colorado educators, school administrators, out-of-school time professionals and other supporting professionals can put themselves on an interest list to participate in the asynchronous course, Powerful Practice: Evidence-Informed Math Teaching. Interest will be confirmed in late Spring and then participants will be enrolled beginning July 2025. 
  • The Mathematical Association of America (MAA) is hosting various events in the spring and summer of 2025.  Check out the list of opportunities.
