NCTM is hosting the Spring Conference in Kansas City, MO, February 5 - 7. This is an excellent opportunity for face-to-face networking and dynamic learning opportunities for math educators. The theme is Empowering Our Students to Experience the World Through a Mathematical Lens.

On February 22, TI will be hosting a professional learning summit in Denver. Join fellow educators for an event experience featuring hands-on sessions that explore strategies and resources for teaching with TI-84 graphing technology. The cost for the event is $250 and includes a TI-84 Plus CE Python graphing calculator and software. Space is limited! Pleaseregister nowto reserve your spot.

Math Teachers’ Circle sessions at the University of Northern Colorado campus are up and running for the 2024-2025 school year. These sessions provide mathematical problem-solving opportunities for teachers who would like to work on fun, challenging math problems. The problems are suitable for different levels with multiple entry points. Professional development certificates for Continuing Education Units are available. The next session will be Wednesday, November 20, beginning at 5:15 pm. Check out the website for more information.

PAEMST nominations and applications are now open. The Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) are one of the highest honors to highlight teachers from across the country. This year’s nominations and applications are for teachers whose responsibilities are for students in Grades 7 - 12. Consider nominating an amazing teacher you know today! Applications must be completed by February 6, 2025.

CCTM membership is only $39 per year! CCTM also offers a group membership option in which a district, school, or collection of passionate math educators have the option to pay $250 for a one-year group membership, which includes membership for 13 individuals. CCTM members have access to our video archives of previous professional learning, as well as discounts for current virtual and in-person learning. If you aren’t already a member, consider joining to get access to previous learning sessions from Dr. Robert Berry, Juliana Tapper, Mary Pittman, and Rachel Levy & Robyn Van Der Zanden, just to name a few. Previous topics have included: number talks, student agency, mathematical modeling, unfinished learning, equitable mathematics instruction, math intervention strategies, and more.
